Crews respond to crash involving overturned semi-truck in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) — Fire crews are responding to a crash involving an overturned semi-truck Wednesday morning in Asheville.

According to the Asheville Fire Department, crews responded to 3095 Sweeten Road for the crash.

Officials said the truck’s saddle tanks are full and leaking diesel fuel. A hazmat unit has been dispatched.

The fire department said traffic will impact the area for some time.

Before noon, officials said the fuel leak, about five gallons of diesel, had been stopped.
