Crews worked overnight into Monday, March 4, to battle a new wildfire that prompted brief evacuations on Sunday in the Texas Panhandle city of Sanford.

The wildfire, dubbed the Roughneck fire, had burned an estimated 300 acres and was 60 percent contained, the Texas A&M Forest Service said in an update published on Monday afternoon.
