Those Amex points are typically only worth about 1¢ or 2¢ a piece depending on how they’re redeemed, so this deal is a total no-brainer!
The promo couldn’t be easier to take advantage of. All you need is any eligible American Express credit card that is part of the Membership Rewards program, and that card needs to be saved as one of your payment methods on your Amazon account. Then you just head to this page on the Amazon site and hit the “Click to activate” button to activate the promo. Anyone with an eligible Amex card on his or her Amazon account that’s part of the Membership Rewards program will be eligible, otherwise you’ll see a message that says “Thank you for your interest in this offer. Unfortunately you are not eligible.” when you click that link.

You’ll see an option to apply points to your order, and all you have to do is add $0.01 worth of points, which is the equivelant of 1 point. Then you’ll get the $30 discount when you check out!
