Crash sends 6 to the hospital in Rochester

May 5—Six people, including four young children, were taken to the hospital Tuesday morning following a two-vehicle crash.

Rochester Police Capt. Casey Moilanen said a southbound 2017 Chrysler Pacifica made a left-hand turn in front of a northbound 2015 GMC Yukon and the two vehicles collided in the intersection of West Circle Drive and Wilder Road Northwest just before 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver of the Yukon, a 27-year-old Byron woman, and her passengers, a 2-month-old boy, a 4-month-old girl, a 1-year-old girl and a 4-year-old girl, were all taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys with suspected non-life threatening injuries.

A passenger in the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, a 68-year-old woman, was also taken to the hospital.

The 67-year-old Florida man who was driving the Chrysler will be cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic, according to Moilanen.
