Crash in Outagamie County seriously injures 2 after truck fails to stop at intersection

SEYMOUR, Wis. (WFRV) – A two-vehicle crash in Outagamie County on Saturday afternoon has sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, the two-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of County Road VV and STH 55 in Seymour around 2:20 p.m. on March 23.

It was noted that neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected, however, deputies say that the crash was reportedly due to one driver failing to stop at a stop sign on County Road VV.

The investigation revealed that one vehicle, driven by a 69-year-old man, was heading west on CTH VV when he allegedly failed to stop at the intersection hitting a southbound driver on STH 55.

Both drivers, the 69 and 60-year-old men, were taken to local hospitals via ambulance and helicopter with what deputies are calling ‘serious injuries.’

The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Seymour Police Department, Seymour Rescue, Black Creek Rescue, Brown County Rescue, Seymour Rural Fire Department, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
