Route 309 reopens after crash

DALLAS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY(WBRE/WYOU)— A crash Saturday morning has resulted in injuries and closing part of Route 309.

According to Dallas Township Police, a call came in just after 10:15 a.m. for a crash with entrapment at the intersection of Route 309 and Old Highway Road.

Officials say Route 309 was closed for approximately three and a half hours on Route 309 between Upper Demunds Road and Kunkle-Anderson Road, but has since been reopened.

Fire damages law office in Scranton

Authorities told 28/22 News there were injuries, but could not elaborate on the extent of those injuries.

The Dallas Township Police Department and Pennsylvania State Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash, and will prove more details at a later time.

Kunkle Fire Company, back Mountain Regional Fire and EMS, Noxen Fire Company, Idetown Fire Company, TransMed Medic 10, and PennDOT also assisted on the scene.
