Crews reopen state Route 410 following crash that closed it in both directions

Update as of 6:10 p.m.: WSDOT reports that state Route 410 is open again in both directions.

Initial post: Drivers should avoid state Route 410 tonight.

Both directions of state Route 410 between Crystal Mountain and Enumclaw are closed due to a car crash blocking the road as of 4:17 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The closure is expected to last for the next two hours as the state Department of Transportation works to clear ice from the road.

Compact snow, ice and downed trees are all affecting SR 410. Drivers are advised to use caution and carry chains if winter tires aren’t an option.
