Crash closes all southbound I-77 lanes near Mooresville

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A crash on Interstate 77 has closed all southbound lanes in southern Iredell County Wednesday afternoon.

According to the N.C. Department of Transportation, the incident occurred around 3:10 p.m. just north of Exit 31 (Langtree Road). The general purpose and toll lanes are closed at the scene.

NCDOT expects the roads to clear by 4:15 p.m.  As of 4:05, traffic was backed up to Exit 36.

State troopers say both drivers involved were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
