Crash temporarily closes K-96 ramp to I-235
4 p.m. UPDATE: The ramp from eastbound K-96 to southbound I-235 has reopened. However, the overturned truck remains on its side next to the ramp. Other vehicles are also in the grassy area.
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — First responders were on the scene of a crash in northwest Wichita Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened around 1 p.m. on the Kansas Highway 96 eastbound ramp to southbound Interstate 235.
An image on WichWay.org showed about a dozen emergency vehicles responded to the scene. It also appeared to show a semi and its trailer overturned on the side of the ramp.

KSN sent a crew to the scene and confirmed that a semi was on its side.
Sedgwick County dispatchers say one person received potentially serious injuries.
The ramp was temporarily closed off while crews worked the scene. It has since been reopened.
