Crane teenager killed in wreck
Jun. 13—An 18-year-old Crane man was killed in a two-vehicle wreck six miles outside Monahans early Tuesday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Dekota Mason Scott was traveling west on FM 1233 in a GMC Sierra pickup truck when he veered off the road, over-corrected, veered into the eastbound lane and hit a semi-tractor trailer head-on.
Scott was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened around 5:30 a.m. The driver of the semi, a 47-year-old man from Miami, Florida, was uninjured.
