CPD offering reward for information leading to arrest in deadly 2021 shooting on 16th St.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – The Columbus Police Department is searching for information leading to the arrest of responsible parties in the shooting that claimed the life of 19-year-old Jaylan Dobbins.

CPD says back on Feb. 6, 2021, officers were dispatched around 12:12 a.m. to the 1400 block of 16th Street to a report about a shooting.

After arriving on the scene, CPD said officers found Dobbins suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS later arrived on the scene, but could not resuscitate Dobbins. Dobbins succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead at 12:43 a.m.
