CPD arrests 22+ individuals, recovers firearms and issues 77 citations in one weekend

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – The Columbus Police Department shared through social media its continued commitment to making Columbus a safer city and provided an example of what they call “Proactive Policing.”

On Monday, CPD said the police department’s patrol division and special operations unit arrested numerous individuals, recovered firearms including a gun with a switch attached, and multiple citations were issued this past weekend.

Here is the data from CPD regarding their success over the weekend.

22 individuals were arrested
Four guns including a gun with a Glock switch were recovered
Two validated gang members were arrested
CPD cleared 17 warrants

OpenAI is removing one of the voices used by ChatGPT. Users found that it sounded similar to Scarlett Johansson, the company announced on Monday, and Johansson herself released a statement saying she hired legal council to inquire about the Sky voice and get exact details about how it was developed. "We believe that AI voices should not deliberately mimic a celebrity's distinctive voice—Sky’s voice is not an imitation of Scarlett Johansson but belongs to a different professional actress using her own natural speaking voice," the company wrote in a blog post.
