Fans and pundits have criticized the Dallas Cowboys for the lack of players signed in the opening days of free agency.

One such player fans were pining after was former Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry who signed with the Baltimore Ravens on a two-year $16 million contract.

Henry, who has a home in Dallas, revealed the Cowboys never reached out to him in a conversation on the “Schein on Sports,” show on MadDog Radio.

“The Cowboys never called at all,” said Henry, “That’s where I stay in the offseason. I’m kind of on the back end of my career and that’s a great organization. It would’ve been a great opportunity, but I’m thankful that I ended up here in Baltimore.”

Host Adam Schein was shocked the Cowboys never reached out to Henry, other commentators have expressed similar surprise at the Cowboys’ actions or lack thereof in free agency.

Henry could have replaced Tony Pollard, who signed with the Titans while providing much-needed power running in the red zone.

Last season Henry rushed for 1167 yards on 280 carries with 12 rushing touchdowns in his eighth NFL season since being drafted No. 45 selection in the 2016 NFL Draft.
