Cow rescued by deputies from Fresno County canal
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A cow was rescued from a canal in Fresno County by deputies on Wednesday.
According to sheriff’s officials, a worker near Napa and Gale Avenues in Fresno County reported seeing a bovine struggling to stay afloat in a canal.
Deputy Kirkpatrick, who sheriff’s officials say is cross-trained in search and rescue, with the assistance of other residents was able to place a rope around the cow. They were eventually able to pull the cow out of the water.
