Police say that when the victim tried to leave, Adams fired multiple shots at her car, striking it several times and disabling it. The victim reportedly called a family member who helped her leave the area.

Covington Police say officers found the car southbound on Highway 51 and saw multiple bullet holes near the driver’s side back tire. When officers went back to the scene of the argument, they reportedly found several shell casings in the driveway.

Police say officers made contact with Adams and saw that he was “heavily intoxicated.” According to Covington Police, Adams initially resisted but was taken into custody moments later.

Detectives executed a search warrant and reportedly found “further evidence related to the weapon”, as well as a gram of cocaine in his bedroom.

Adams was given a $100,000 bond. He is expected to be in court on June 11.
