COVID-19 pandemic spawns renewed interest in classic video games

Classic video games appear to be making a comeback due to the COVID-19 pandemic and people continuing to be stuck indoors. "Video games are a great way to fill the time, and especially with the retro stuff, its kind of nostalgic," said Travis Boune, owner of 1UP Retro Gaming in midtown Sacramento. Boune opened his store on Black Friday last year, in the middle of the economic downturn. He says business has continued to do well. "I think we are uniquely suited for the need right now," said Boune. "People are looking back at times that were happier for them." See more in the video above.
