County seeks new members on health commission

May 2—Santa Fe County is looking for people "of diverse backgrounds and representative of varied health care services" to serve on its nine-member Health Policy and Planning Commission.

The commission has four vacancies: One member in District 2, one in District 4 and two at-large members.

The committee, established in 2020, provides recommendations to county staff and the County Commission on health care services, researches issues as assigned by commissioners and proposes updates to the county's Health Action Plan.

The County Commission will appoint members based on their letters of interest and qualifications in the health field. A background check will be required for all appointed members.
