Country Star Maggie Rose Ties the Knot in Maryland: 'I Couldn't Have Imagined a More Perfect Day'

Maggie Rose "ain't your mama" – but now she's somebody's wife!

The country singer tied the knot over the weekend, saying "I Do" to longtime love Austin Marshall in Potomac, Maryland, on Saturday.

"We were surrounded by family and friends from all over the world in my hometown of Potomac, Maryland," Rose tells PEOPLE exclusively of her nuptials. "My mom and unofficial wedding planner Lizz Durante worked so hard to give us a special day."

Rose and Marshall exchanged vows at Our Lady of Mercy – the church where most of the singer's immediate and extended family have wed – and celebrated with a reception at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda.

The "I Ain't Your Mama" singer had live music from her family and guests, including bridesmaid Natalie Murphy, a violinist and vocalist who performed throughout the ceremony. In addition, groomsman Dallas Davidson sang an original tune called "She's All Yours," co-written by Rose, while the star danced with her father at the reception.

Marshall got in on the fun too, performing what Rose calls an "outrageous" rendition of Joe Cocker's "With a Little Help From My Friends!"

"It was a perfect day that represented Austin and I," she says, adding, "I couldn't have imagined a more perfect day or a more perfect groom to share it with."

Rose – who recently released The Variety Show – Vol.1., the first of her double EP set – wore a custom white mermaid gown (crafted by a Nashville-based designer) with an illusion neckline and intricate embroidery. She topped off the look with a long mesh veil.

Marshall, who is the executive vice president of Play It Again Publishing, proposed to Rose in March 2015 at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club. The couple doesn't have a formal honeymoon scheduled just yet, Rose reveals, because she'll be performing at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, which kicks off on June 9.
