Corrie drugs blunder for Clayton and Shona tonight
Coronation Street killer Clayton Hibbs could ruin his own chances of getting free tonight (August 23) as he slips up in front of his mum Shona Ramsey.
Clayton (Callum Harrison) was jailed for the fatal stabbing of Kylie Platt last year, but Shona is currently facing a terrible dilemma after hearing how much he's supposedly struggling behind bars.
Earlier this week, viewers saw Clayton's half-brother Macca pay a visit to the cobbles after hearing that Shona (Julia Goulding) had won £6,000 on a scratchcard.
Making out that Clayton was suicidal in prison, Macca urged Shona to use her money to fund an appeal for his possible release, despite there being no guarantees it would even work.
Although Shona is unsure of what to do about Macca's demands, she's determined to see her son either way and heads off to the jail in tonight's episode.
Shona is taken aback when Clayton warmly hugs her, which is much more than she got from the surly teen last time she paid him a visit.
Clayton is also full of stories about how much he's changed and how it's the right time for him to be released, but he soon slips up by blurting out how he's secretly running a drugs operation from prison. Oops.
Realising this doesn't quite match up to Clayton's claims that he's a changed man, will Shona be forced to re-think her support? Has Clayton just blown his last chance? Or could Shona still be parting with all that cash to save her son?
