Coronation Street's Anna Windass will try to take on her enemy Pat Phelan tonight – with disastrous results.

Anna (Debbie Rush) decides to take matters into her own hands, as things are looking bleak following Phelan's attempts to frame her for Seb Franklin's horror fall.

Having discovered that Phelan has been dishing out cash to those who lost money in the flats scam, Anna becomes increasingly suspicious of his real intentions – convinced there is more to it.

Grabbing the bull by the horns, Anna lures Phelan round to hers under false pretences in Friday's scenes – claiming that she wants to help him make amends with his daughter Nicola.

As the pair sit down for a tense chat, Anna takes a new approach with Phelan and asks him outright why he's trying to frame her for Seb's accident.

Sadly – but not wholly surprisingly – Anna's bravery quickly backfires as cunning Phelan is already one step ahead in the game.

Sensing that Anna is up to something, Phelan looks her straight in the eye and tells her that they both know she pushed Seb off his ladder.

With Phelan gone, Anna switches off the record setting on her phone – gutted that her plan to record his confession has failed. But has Anna's attempts to trap Phelan only made matters even worse?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, November 24 at at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
