1. Coronation Street: Andy's future is revealed (Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV)

So Andy isn't dead after all! Corrie's bombshell revelation on Friday night was the show's biggest surprise of the year so far – and it sounds like there was just as much drama going on off-screen as the producers went to great lengths to keep his return under wraps.

Good news for Andy fans who want to see him walk down the cobbles again is that tonight's double bill sees him come up with a clever way to overpower his captor Pat Phelan, desperately hoping to end his ordeal and get free.

Bad news is that this is Phelan we're talking about, so we're fairly certain life won't be so simple for poor old Andy with such a formidable enemy to deal with. Will he be down in that dark and dingy cellar for a long time to come?

2. EastEnders: Jay turns his back on the Mitchell family (Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

Could it really be the end of Jay's connection to the Mitchell family and his popular bromance with Ben? It certainly seems so, as he starts lashing out at everyone around him this week following Phil's confession that he killed his father.

Jay is certain that he doesn't want anything to do with the Mitchells anymore and it seems that could even include Ben when he insists that they're no longer brothers. Although since this leads to a fight between the lads, we can't help feeling that Phil and Grant would be proud!

3. Emmerdale: Aaron comes face-to-face with Jason (Thursday at 7pm and 8pm on ITV)

It's fair to say that Jason wouldn't win any popularity contests after he brutally beat up Aaron in prison, but it seems that Samuel Edward-Cook's intense performances in the role have made an impression on Emmerdale producers, who keep him inviting him back for more episodes.

This time, we see Jason pop up again when Aaron joins a gym to continue his recent boxing training, with support from Adam and Victoria. It turns out that even a fitness regime can't be drama-free for Aaron, who's shocked and concerned to see Jason chatting up Victoria. Is Aaron putting himself in more danger when he tries to warn Jason off?

4. Hollyoaks: Joel and Cleo are kidnapped by Shane (Monday at 7pm on E4 / Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

We thought that petty crime was more Shane's style, but he ascends into supervillain territory this week when he kidnaps Cleo McQueen and holds her captive in an engine room. Shane also takes the drastic step to teach Joel Dexter a lesson, after discovering that the priest is trying to get him sent down.

It's not long before Shane manages to lure Joel to the engine room of doom too, leaving him and Cleo fearing for their lives as the stakes get higher. Will Prince and Hunter's troublesome dad really resort to murder? Or is this all just a clever way for the producers to bring Joel and Cleo closer together again? We're getting "Neighbours' Paige and Jack in the barn" vibes here...

5. Neighbours: Tyler's life changes forever (Thursday at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5)

Home and Away gave us the memorable twist where one of the Braxton brothers wasn't really a Braxton, and now it's Neighbours' turn to pull the rug from under us by revealing that one of the Brennans isn't really a Brennan. Who'd have thought it?

Following Fay's recent bombshell, Sheila decides to come clean with Mark, Aaron and Tyler this week by revealing exactly what she knows. This leads to the Brennans' mother Fay paying another visit and confirming that Tyler was the product of her affair with a man called Hamish Roche.

Will life for the Brennans ever be the same? With Hamish on his way to Erinsborough early next month, it's just the beginning of a whole new saga for the popular family.

6. Coronation Street: David gives into temptation with Shona (Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV)

The Platt family's love lives often veer slightly on the bizarre side, and now it's David's turn to throw caution to the wind when he decides that he does want a relationship with the mother of the teenage thug who killed his wife Kylie. Where's Jeremy Kyle when you need him?

David is furious this week when he hears a rumour that Shona is planning to help Killer Clayton by funding an appeal against his prison sentence. When David angrily gives Shona another piece of his mind, she finally stands up to him – and he's so impressed that he decides he wants to make a go of things with her. Gail's reaction is sure to be priceless...

7. EastEnders: Linda's new setback (Friday at 8pm on BBC One)

Mick tries to get back in Linda's good books this Friday by bringing Ladies' Night back to the Queen Vic, but she's far from impressed by his efforts. (Inviting every woman in the local area around probably isn't the best way to make amends for cheating, right?)

Although the event goes ahead as planned with guests including Denise and Karen enjoying the celebrations, it doesn't take long before Linda suffers another devastating setback. We can't reveal exactly how it all turns sour, but it could make the atmosphere ten times worse between the Carters.

8. Emmerdale: Pierce returns as Rhona visits him (Tuesday at 7pm on ITV)

Rhona was dead-set against the idea of seeing Pierce when his meddling mum Martha suggested it last week, but she changes her mind this Tuesday when she realises just how much she's struggling to move on after her husband's rape conviction.

Rhona is feeling uncomfortable around men in the village and she's also relying on booze to make herself feel better, so she finally decides that visiting Pierce could provide the closure she needs. Will her brave move be the right decision?

9. Hollyoaks: Darren's drugs secret is finally exposed (Thursday at 7pm on E4 and Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

If Darren Osborne thought that quiet man Tom Cunningham would never betray him, he'd better think again. Darren and Nancy renew their wedding vows this week, but when the groom does a sudden disappearing act before the champagne can get flowing, Tom decides to air his suspicions over where he's gone.

Nancy is horrified to hear about Darren's recent drug deals on behalf of Shane and she's not at all impressed by his protests that he was doing it all for her and the family. We know the Osbornes will always find a way back together, but could this be the end of Nancy and Darren's winning partnership for a while?

10. Home and Away: The Astonis start to make enemies (Friday at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5)

They've barely been in Summer Bay for five minutes, but it seems that the new Astoni family are determined to make their mark. This starts to rub Alf, Leah and Irene up the wrong way this week, as Ben and Maggie excitedly announce plans to revamp the pier – which would require structural changes at the Diner and reduce its kitchen.

The straight-talking couple also reckon that the bait shop has seen better days (gasp!), which is particularly hurtful for Alf to hear. Vowing to stick together, Irene, Alf and Leah loudly complain about the new family's plans and even vow to get the council involved. Is war brewing in the Bay?
