Nominations are open for the Corpus Christi Hooks and Reliant's educator recognition program.

The Reliant All-Star Educators Program is searching for 10 local public school teachers to award grants for classroom supplies.

Nominations can be submitted by school administrators, coworkers, students, family or friends online at cchooks.com/educators. The deadline for submissions in Friday, March 29.

Judges will select winners based on factors including how the educator incorporates science, technology, engineering, the arts and math curricula, student impact, teaching style and any unique challenges the educator has overcome.

This is the third year Reliant and the Hooks have partnered to recognize educators. Reliant and the Hooks are offering $1,500, paired with a $100 contribution from Mardel, for each educator.

"We are thrilled for the continuation of the All-Star Educators program," Corpus Christi Hooks General Manager Brady Ballard said in a Reliant news release. "The past two years have provided heartwarming moments in recognizing local educators and contributing to their successes in the classroom."

Last May, the partners surprised educators in the classroom with a check presentation and a visit from the Hooks mascot.
