Coroner IDs 2 Lamont men killed in February shooting

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified two men who were killed in a shooting in February on Tatum Street in Lamont.

According to the coroner’s office, Ernesto Garcia Jr., 32, and Maximiliano Pineda, 49, both of Lamont, were both shot in the 10300 block of Tatum Street.

Pineda was taken to Kern Medical where he was pronounced dead and Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene, coroner officials say.

The cause of both of their deaths was ruled as multiple gunshot wounds and the manner is homicide.
