Boris Johnson is facing growing calls, including from within his own party, to sack his most senior aide Dominic Cummings following claims he made several trips to see his family in County Durham, while the country was being told to stay at home.

When asked if he was “considering his position” on Saturday, Mr Cummings said: “Obviously not”.
