Coronavirus: Global death toll surpasses 300,000

Nearly 3 million Americans filed for unemployment benefits last week, according to data released Thursday. More than 36 million have filed since mid-March. President Trump traveled to Pennsylvania Thursday to tour a medical equipment manufacturing facility. He did not wear a mask.
Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), is stepping down as chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee amid a federal probe of his stock trading related to the coronavirus. Dr. Rick Bright, a whistleblower who was ousted from his position at a top U.S. health agency, testified on Capitol Thursday, telling lawmakers that "indifference" landed the nation in "deep s**t."
