Coronavirus: U.S. passes 50,000 deaths

Over 2.8 million people worldwide have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. More than 197,000 people have died. In the United States alone, more than 52,000 people have died from the coronavirus. There have been over 905,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases.

President Trump on Friday signed a $484 billion coronavirus relief package into law, while lockdowns and restrictions are being eased in several parts of the world, including in Georgia in the U.S., India and Pakistan.
