Coronation Street's Geoff loses Tim's support, and 8 more soap moments this week

Struggling to keep track of the constant stream of soap spoilers? Fear not, as every Monday Digital Spy picks out the biggest and best storylines hitting your screens in the week ahead.

1. Coronation Street: Tim abandons Geoff

(Monday at 7.30pm on ITV)

Having spent the last few weeks trying to referee the furious rows between Sally and Geoff, Tim is almost at the end of his tether. But his unwavering loyalty towards his father begins to wane when he hears how Geoff cruelly taunted Sally after discovering she gave Alya their wedding money to buy his share of Speed Daal.

Angered by Geoff's abusive outburst towards his wife, Tim tells him that he's tired of playing piggy in the middle, so he and Sally are going to stay with Gina for a while.

The news takes Geoff by surprise, and as Tim and Sally head off, he's left behind in Weatherfield fearing he's losing control.

2. Emmerdale: Malone killed off?

(Monday at 7pm on ITV)

Malone is out for revenge on Dawn after she reported him for illegal conduct, and he intimidates her by revealing her testimony has been dismissed as false. Dawn tries to pretend she's not bothered, but recoils in horror when Malone takes out a wrap of heroin and syringe from his pocket.

Confronted by the sight of her old demon, Dawn attempts to fight back, as Malone takes a menacing step towards her and pulls out a gun. Pointing the weapon towards her, the evil DI tempts Will's daughter to take her own life by overdosing.

Soon afterwards, someone arrives in the nick of time to rescue Dawn. As events spiral, Malone's reign of terror could be over as his lifeless body is seen sprawled out on the floor.

3. Neighbours: Emmett's mum arrives in Erinsborough

(Thursday at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5)

Brent's unruly behaviour is continuing to cause David and Aaron grief, as they question whether to let him carry on living at Number 32. Emmett is desperate for his brother to stay, but when an argument breaks out over Brent's latest bad behaviour, resulting in Aaron getting whacked in the face, the couple insist Brent needs to go.

Aaron and David are soon faced with an even bigger problem when the boys' mum Jenna unexpectedly shows up, criticising their parenting skills and announcing she's going to get Emmett back.

When Paul hears of Jenna's unwelcome arrival, he offers the recovering addict a wad of cash in exchange for leaving Erinsborough.

Later, a drunken Jenna rocks up on David and Aaron's doorstep, and Terese vents at Paul for trying to pay off an alcoholic. Taking pity on Jenna, Terese invites her to an AA meeting, then stuns her family by offering the newcomer a job.

4. Emmerdale: Belle outs Jamie's secret to Nate

Nate finds himself out of a job when Al fires him for missing an important meeting when he was on his final warning. Nate begs his boss to reconsider, pointing out he was taking pregnant Tracy to the hospital, but Al refuses to budge.

Meanwhile, Jamie is buzzing to be back together with Belle and wants to let everyone know, but she tells him it's too soon. The loved-up vet calls Kim to give her an update on what's been going on, but is interrupted when Nate walks into the HOP offices looking to get his job back.

Jamie and Belle are thrown into panic, wondering how much he has heard, and their fears are quickly realised when Nate asks Belle what they were discussing.

Despite promising to keep her boyfriend's secret, Belle cracks and reveals she knows who was driving the car that mowed Moira down. What will Nate do with the explosive information?

5. Coronation Street: Will Gary and Maria say I do?

Maria and Gary prepare to tie the knot this week, but Gary's murderous secret and feelings for Sarah are threatening to ruin their big day. As the guests begin gathering for the ceremony, there's no sign of either the bride or groom.

On the cobbles, David – who witnessed the cosy encounter between Gary and his sister – tells him he needs to choose once and for all which woman he wants to be with. Gary has to decide whether to go ahead with the wedding.

Elsewhere, Sarah is in turmoil too as she debates whether she still loves Gary or wants to make a proper go of things with Adam. But with Sarah's husband already furious with her for refusing to report Gary to the police for killing Rick, is Sarah's marriage beyond rescuing?

6. Home and Away: Jasmine flees Summer Bay

(Wednesday at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5)

Ignoring Tori's warnings to stay away from her and Grace, a distressed Jasmine turns up at the Morgans' demanding to see her stepdaughter. Colby is forced to intervene again and escorts her home, but when Tori receives a string of late night texts from Jasmine, it's the final straw.

Left with no other option, Tori authorises an Apprehended Violence Order (AVO) against her friend, which requires Jasmine to keep her distance from Grace for a year.

Tori then approaches Jasmine offering her a mental health care plan, but fails to mention the AVO, so when Colby serves her the papers she's devastated. Mortified, Jasmine confronts Tori, calls time on their friendship, and scarpers from Summer Bay.

7. EastEnders: Secrets from the Square – Queen Vic landlady special

Serving up a double shot of secrets this week in a Queen Vic Landladies Special, are the brilliant Letitia Dean and Kellie Bright, aka Sharon Watts and Linda Carter.

The pair are reuniting with Stacey Dooley to look back at the formidable females who've had their name above the Walford pub door – from Angie Watts to Peggy Mitchell – as well as reminiscing about their characters' biggest moments behind that famous bar.

Firm friends on and off-screen, Letitia and Kelly share the stories behind some of The Vic's most spectacular showdowns, and reveal what the future holds now Linda has handed the reins of the beloved boozer over to Sharon. Plus, Stacey puts their landlady knowledge to the ultimate test.

8. EastEnders: Iconic episode – Peggy exposes Pat and Frank's affair

(Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

In this classic hour-long episode from November 2000, the fireworks were flying on Bonfire Night when Peggy Mitchell revealed her husband Frank was planning to leave her and run away with Pat Evans. Never one to be made a fool of, formidable Peg made sure she got her payback in the most public way.

Taking centre stage behind her bar, the scorned landlady read out Frank's goodbye letter, exposing the cheating pair's betrayal to the entire Queen Vic. Peggy finished off proceedings by dishing out a stinging double slap, the force of which caused one of Pat's iconic earrings to fly off.

9. Hollyoaks@25: Silas vs. Lynsey

(Monday at 7pm on E4)

The fourth week of Hollyoaks@25 is going back to 2011, and Lynsey Nolan's plucky quest to expose serial killer Silas Blissett. The gruesome granddad had already claimed three victims, and Lyns was on a mission to let the village know there was a murderer living amongst them. Unfortunately for her, Silas was always one step ahead in their dangerous game of cat and mouse.

With his dark secret under threat of being exposed, the evil OAP attempted to frame Brendan Brady for his crimes, which resulted in the Irishman's arrest. Refusing to be defeated, Lynsey followed Silas into the woods, and as a violent tussle ensued, the nurse feared she had finally killed her nemesis.

Introducing the nail-biting drama each night are current cast members, and on-screen couple, Imran Adams and Ross Adams (aka Mitchell and Scott).
