Coronation Street teases possible reunion for Dee-Dee and Joel

There could be a possible reunion on Coronation Street, with Dee-Dee Bailey and Joel Deering revisiting their romantic connection.
Dee-Dee broke up with Joel back in February after discovering that he had lied about his past, covering the fact that he has a wife, Emily, and daughter.
Despite their past, Emily defended Joel in a conversation with Dee-Dee, leading her to reassess her feelings for her ex-lover.

Despite being apart for a couple of months, these new scenes will see Dee-Dee confess to Michael that she still harbours feelings for Joel.
Dee-Dee and Joel will grow closer as they work together on the case of Roy Cropper, who was arrested and charged with the murder of missing teenager Lauren Bolton.
Joel informs Dee-Dee that he's improved his relationship with his estranged wife, with Emily even allowing him to meet his daughter, Maeve.
Despite Dee-Dee harbouring hope of a reunion, Michael is far more sceptical about Joel's intentions, reminding his sister how untrustworthy he was in the past.

In later scenes, Joel will attempt to allay Michael's worries by assuring him that he cares deeply about Dee-Dee, airing his hopes that they could reunite.
Joel subsequently meets with Dee-Dee at the solicitor's office as he introduces her to Maeve, but things get complicated as Joel attempts to greet Dee-Dee with a kiss as she arrives.
How will Dee-Dee respond to Joel's forward gesture?
Whilst viewers will have to wait to see if the pair completely rekindle their romance, actor Calum Lill spoke about his character's journey, saying of Joel: "He's done a wrong thing but I think he's not meant to harm [Dee-Dee]. He's just meant to have a good relationship with her."
