Amy ends up getting the job. However, later in the week, she informs Aadi that the representative from the women's charity can't take part in a scheduled on-air interview anymore. She pleads with Aadi to be her first interviewee instead.

Aadi then reveals that Amy's charity worker couldn't fulfil the commitment because of an emergency situation involving a vulnerable family. Reluctantly, solicitor Joel Deering offers to step in if needed.

Meanwhile, Amy tells Bernie Winter that despite getting the student radio show, she's short of an interviewee for her first live show.

Spotting Paul amusing his personal assistant Hannah with some stories, Bernie pitches the idea of an interview with him to talk about his motor neurone disease. Will he agree to take part?

Over the last year, Coronation Street viewers have seen Paul's condition deteriorate following his MND diagnosis, and the soap has also explored the impact of the diagnosis on his loved ones – particularly his mum Bernie, sister Gemma and husband Billy.

In emotional scenes last month, Paul was told by his speech therapist that it might be time for him to start using a feeding tube, as the condition is starting to impact his ability to eat solid food.

The soap has also explored the topic of assisted dying through Paul's story, after Billy recently learned of Paul's plan to end his life.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
