Corning man arrested on drug charges after traffic stop in Bath

BATH, N.Y. (WETM) – A Corning man has been arrested on drug charges after police say they found drugs in his vehicle during a traffic stop in Bath this past weekend.

According to the Village of Bath Police Department, Roland M. Duell was arrested on Saturday, April 27, on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.

This incident was Duell’s third time in the last 6 months being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.

Duell’s arrest comes as a result of a traffic stop over a minor traffic violation when he was leaving Colonial Lawns. Police say that a large amount of narcotics, as well as over 19 grams of meth, were found in his vehicle at this time.

Duell was then transported to the Steuben County Jail and released at CAP court.
