Corning Community College to host Manufacturing Open House
HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WETM) – SUNY Corning Community College will be hosting a Manufacturing Open House this week for those who are interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing.
The open house is taking place on Wednesday, March 27, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at SUNY CCC Airport Corporate Park.
Massi’s Gardens & Landscaping Spring Fling returns next weekend
The event will be based on the revitalized Machine Tool Technology program at CCC and will include live CNC machining and robotics demos. There will also be multiple table demonstrations from representatives of local manufacturing companies.
Representatives from the companies will be available to talk about careers in manufacturing and what is made locally at these companies.
Companies participating in the open house include NYMAT Machine Tool Corp., Competitive Edge Solutions, Hilliard, Hardinge, Siemens Energy, Jabil, Cameron Manufacturing & Design, Guhring and Iscar Cutting Tools.
Arnot Health to host hiring event in April
Current CCC machining students will join the local company employees at the event to present running machining demos and speak about their experiences.
The open house is open to students, parents, educators and people who are interested in switching to a manufacturing career.
