Some of the graduating students said how they have plans to further their education related to their field of study.

Student Jacob Valdez who graduated with an Associate’s in Science said, “A lot of work, a lot of sleepless nights studying but it’s amazing to finally get to this point and be able to finally have a degree and make something of myself, it feels amazing. I’m actually going to Stony Brook University in the fall to get my bachelor’s in chemistry so that’s going to be a really fun opportunity.”

“I’m going to get my BSN probably, I should be enrolled in a BSN program within like six months and then go on from there,” said graduating student Alyssa Steinhauer who earned an Associate’s in Applied Science. “Just because things are hard doesn’t mean you can’t do them so just know that you can do hard things and you can do anything you put your mind to.”

Corning Community College will be having its Star Gazing 101 program on Monday, June 3 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Digital Dome Theatre. It will be about the basics of the night sky during the seasons and talk about the navigational stars.
