Cornett's Chapel seeking donations for church restoration

Apr. 11—Cornett's Chapel Christian Church, a piece of Jackson County's rich history, is in urgent need of support.

This historic landmark located on Blacksnake Ridge in the Moores Creek community was built in 1908-1909. It has witness countless weddings, baptisms, and community gatherings. Unfortunately, time and the elements have taken their toll, and the church is in desperate need of restoration.

The Cornett's Chapel Cemetery Board and community members are launching a donation drive to fund the much-needed repairs and renovations to restore the church to its original condition.

How can you help?

Donate, whatever you can. No amount is too small.

Let's make history by saving history. A restored Cornett's Chapel Church will be source of pride and a symbol of our commitment to preserving what makes our community unique. Once restored, the church can once again become a focal point for community events, celebrations and gatherings.
