Cornell wrestling earns IVY League honors

ITHACA, N.Y. (WETM) – Cornell University wrestling had another strong showing in IVY League honors.

The Big Red earned eight total first-team selections to go along with head coach Mike Grey earning his third straight Coach of The Year Award and 157 pounder Meyer Shapiro was tabbed as Rookie of The Year.

Cornell (12-4) secured its third consecutive IVY League Championship and rolled to another top ten ranking throughout the season. Heading into the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) Tournament this weekend at Bucknell University, Cornell is ranked eighth in the country.
