Cornell Grade School recognizes its 2 students of the month for February

Nadia Dane and Abigail Rients were recognized for their respective efforts at Cornell Grade School by being named as Students of the Month for February.

Nadia Dane is recognized as student of the month for kindergarten through fourth grade. Nadia, daughter of Isra and Zakary Dane of Cornell, was nominated by teachers Debbie Fredrickson and Christina Bowman.

Abigail Rients was selected as student of the month for the fifth through eighth grades. Karen Austin was the nominating teacher for Abigail, who is the daughter of Sarah and Ben Rients of Cornell.

Nadia and Abigail were presented with certificates, a pin and Casey's General Store gift cards at an all-school assembly.

Each month the grade school selects two students, one from kindergarten through fourth grades, and one from fifth through eighth grades, who best demonstrate a good attitude, respect for others, dependability, hard work, volunteerism, honesty, trustworthiness and leadership.

Each student receives a Student of the Month certificate and will have their picture on display in the main hallway at Cornell Grade School.
