In a new map based on a working paper by researchers for the National Bureau of Economic Research, Priceonomics confirms what Seattleites have long know. We're doing just fine. According to their happiness map—whose data is really based on responses to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention survey about life satisfaction—Atlanta and Washington, DC, both rank as happier than average.
