The Southport area got its first taste of Cook Out's milkshakes, burgers, and fries Tuesday night.

The restaurant held what it called a "soft opening," and many customers received "swag bags" with Cook Out merchandise to mark the occasion.

According to a staff member, the restaurant was expected to fully open Wednesday.

Customers can expect the traditional fare, including hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets, fries, and onion rings, along with the inventive dishes Cook Out is known for: bacon wraps, walking tacos, and ultra-thick milkshakes in an array of flavors.
