As if the Trump Presidency wasn't weird enough, a recent so-called exposé about The Donald's first year in the White House is being turned into a TV series.

And we're sorry to tell you that this really isn't fake news.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Endeavor Content has purchased both film and television rights to Michael Wolff's explosive book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.

The book, which the White House has dismissed as "fiction", follows the alleged goings-on of the Trump administration, as seen by Wolff himself after he claimed he was given exclusive access.

Despite only coming out this month, Fire and Fury has been a huge success with readers, so it's no surprise to hear that the recent rights deal is said to be in the seven-figure range.

Although a network is not yet attached to the series, the project has bagged an executive producer in Wolff and a producer in veteran Channel 4 and BBC executive Michael Jackson (not that one).

As it stands at the moment, rights to Wolff's controversial book have been sold in 32 countries, and the title is currently the best-selling book of any genre worldwide.

Fire and Fury certainly doesn't have a fan in Trump, though, who – unsurprisingly – vented his frustration at the book's accusations on Twitter.

"So much Fake News is being reported. They don't even try to get it right, or correct it when they are wrong," he told followers earlier this month.

"They promote the Fake Book of a mentally deranged author, who knowingly writes false information. The Mainstream Media is crazed that WE won the election!"
