Controlled burn planned near Four Corners Thursday

Feb. 25—Forestry crews will conduct a controlled pile burn at 9 a.m. Thursday along U.S. Forest Service Road 2060, west of the Four Corners area near Ashland, according to a news release.

There won't be any road or trail closures during the burn, but the U.S. Forest Service Road 2060 stretch will have areas of heavy smoke, the release said.

The event is the latest in a series of pile burns intended to remove excess fuels from the Ashland Watershed.
