Utility Workers Repair Power Lines Damaged by Hurricane Dorian in Jacksonville

Utility workers replaced power lines that had sustained damage from the winds of Hurricane Dorian at Camp Lejeune, a US Marine Corps base in Jacksonville, North Carolina, on September 6.

According to North Carolina Public Radio WUNC 91.5, Camp Lejeune was especially vulnerable to Dorian after suffering more than $3 billion in damage from Hurricane Florence in 2018, and hundreds of buildings within the camp still had damaged roofs with only tarps keeping water out.

Dorian only caused “light damage to base facilities,” according to the US Marine Corp description accompanying this footage, which shows linemen carrying out repairs. Credit: US Marine Corps via Storyful
