Construction work will close section of Oak Hill Road for nearly 18 months

Oak Hill Road will be closed to all through traffic starting later this month as part of a construction project that will last for nearly 18 months.

Beginning March 27, the road will be closed to all traffic between Heckel Road and Millersburg Road. A detour will go around the closure using Heckel, Green River and Millersburg roads.

The closure is required for the reconstruction of Oak Hill Road.

The first phase of the reconstruction will be done between Eastwood Drive and Voigt Road. Residents south of Voigt Road will have access to their properties from the south end of the project near Heckel Road while residents north of Voigt Road will have access through the north end of the project at Millersburg Road.

All Oak Hill School traffic will enter and exit the school to the north, near Millersburg Road.

The second phase of Oak Hill's reconstruction between Voigt Road and Millersburg Road will start upon completion of the first phase.

The project is expected to be completed by Aug. 1, 2025, according to the news release.
