Congresswoman Maxine Waters promises to be an Auntie for millennials in need

In a time of great darkness, many millennials are turning to one California Congresswoman for light.

Though she's officially known as Rep. Maxine Waters, the Congresswoman recently embraced a new title: "Auntie Maxine." On AM Joy Saturday, Waters — sorry, Auntie Maxine — explained why she'd be happy to be an Auntie to her new adoring fan base.

"Im so proud of this connection that I've made with these young people.  They do call me Auntie Maxine," Waters said. "I embrace that, I love that. And I'm gonna be their Auntie. I'm gonna keep telling the truth. And I want them to get out there, register people to vote, get active and bombard the Congress of the United States and the leadership with what they want them to do."
