Concord University and Excel Together West Virginia partner up to offer a free online math course

ATHENS, WV (WVNS) — Concord University and Excel Together West Virginia partnered together to offer a free online math class.

Beckley to become the first Inclusive Recovery City in the United States

Excel Together West Virginia is a workforce and education program of SeeMore Impact Labs, and it helps schools and colleges in the United States increase literacy and math rates. The free online math course offered by the program helps students work through challenges, discusses real-world problem solving, and helps combat math fears.

The course, recognized by the American College of Education, will be added to the courses at Concord University as a Math 101 substitute. Not only does the free math course meet the degree program’s educational requirements, it also meets the requirements for job searches for people who are on unemployment.

Excel Together WV is a game changer. We are so thrilled to be working with them to bring an incredibly impactful educational experience to our students and our communities. This course meets students where they are and demystifies mathematics in relevant, innovative, and practical ways. Quite simply, it makes higher education accessible and possible for all.
