Concord road reopened after vehicle fire

CONCORD, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A road in downtown Concord was closed due to a vehicle fire, according to Concord Police Department.

Highway 601 at Wilshire Avenue was closed in both directions. Drivers were asked to avoid the area.

The road reopened around 8 p.m.

No word on whether anyone was injured due to the vehicle fire or its cause.
