Concord hair salon owner arrested on multiple counts of sexual assault

(KRON) — The owner of a hair salon in Concord has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault, the Concord Police Department said on Thursday. Chi Ngoc Vu, 41, is the owner of Chi Hair Salon at 4701 Clayton Road.

Vu’s case, police said, was presented to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s office and the following charges were filed:

  • Forcible rape

  • Unlawful sexual intercourse

  • Forcible oral copulation

  • Oral copulation of minor under 16

  • Lewd acts on a child

The sexual assaults occurred inside Vu’s hair salon business, police said. The suspect remains in custody on $275,000 bail. Concord PD believe Vu may have victimized others and have released his booking photo.
