Conan O'Brien Can Put the Colbert Back in White House Correspondents' Dinner

The White House Correspondents' Dinner, a Beltway schmoozefest that has become a pretty unfunny snoozefest, will be headlined by Conan O'Brien this year. Ed Henry revealed the news on Twitter this morning, and heo implied through another tweet that O'Brien's partner in crime Andy Richter will be involved in the proceedings somehow on April 27. The "nerd prom," as some affectionately call it — we might go for Wolf Blitzer's creepy date night — was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel last year and Saturday Night Live head writer Seth Myers the year before, but it really hasn't had the same bite since Stephen Colbert roasted George W. Bush in 2006.
