Comic-Con: Hall H is for Hardcore (Fans)

One of the main attractions at Comic-Con is undoubtedly Hall H, a 6,500-seat auditorium that serves to host many of the annual convention’s most popular panels. While the excitement inside the hall is electric, the scene outside the hall is one of survival and anticipation.

We caught up with some Con-goers who planted themselves at the front of the line for Hall H on Thursday afternoon, about 18 hours before the doors to the hall actually opened Friday morning. They taught us some helpful tricks of the trade, like making friends with the people in line next to you, so you can leave for a quick shower without losing your place in line.

Certain essential items make the long wait, and the long night, more tolerable. Things like sleeping bags, backpacks, folding chairs, and snacks are vital for surviving the line.

We’re not sure if our friends at the front of the line ever achieved their dream of meeting Kit Harrington from Game of Thrones, but we want to thank them for helping improve Hall H line-waiting preparedness for the rest of us.
