Columbus woman dies in hit-and-run pedestrian crash
A woman pedestrian died after she was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle on Columbus' Near East Side, city police report.
Mildred Ann Kelley, 67, of Columbus, was walking at about 11:21 p.m. Wednesday along East Livingston Avenue when she apparently attempted to cross the street southbound between Lilley Avenue and Berkely Road. She was struck by a dark-colored vehicle that was traveling west to east on East Livingston and continued eastbound after the crash without stopping, according to a Columbus Division of Police accident report.
Kelley was transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center by EMS, where she was pronounced dead at 11:57 p.m.
The Columbus police Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the fatal crash.
