This Colorado city has some of the most stressed-out workers in the US: Report

DENVER (KDVR) – One city in Colorado is rated as one of the most stressful cities for workers, based on a new study conducted by LLC.org.

The study looks into stress-related factors in 100 of the most populated cities in the U.S. These factors include work stress, like commute time and average hours worked, as well as financial stress, like the income growth rate.

The study also includes health and safety factors like the percentage of employees without health insurance and the crime rate, as those can contribute to a stressful work environment.

Among the top cities for workers who are stressed out, Aurora ranks at No. 5 with the highest stress scores.

Workers in Aurora work about 38.9 hours a week, which is some of the most amount of hours compared to the other cities.

Almost 40% of those workers head out for work before 7 a.m., which is also some of the highest amount in the nation. During that commute, it takes almost a half hour for workers to get to their jobs.

Aurora also ranks high in the country for employees without insurance, crime rates and year-over-year income growth.

While Aurora appears to be one of the top places for stressed-out workers in the country, no other Colorado cities are listed in the study.
