Colombia's President Santos says peace deal with FARC in 'very near future'

LONDON (Reuters) - Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos said on Wednesday his government hoped to conclude a peace deal with FARC rebels "in the very near future". A deadline for a final accord between the government and leftist rebels FARC, Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, was missed in March but Santos told investors in London a deal to end Latin America's longest war would be reached soon.
